Through this transformative study group, you will learn how to listen to the subtle messages your body and subconscious are constantly sending you.
Using sound as a tool, you’ll explore how your body communicates through symbols, feelings, colors, movements, sensations, and even metaphorical images.
By understanding this inner language, you’ll not only reduce stress but also become more attuned to your life’s true purpose.
In the 1990s, the Jung Society of Atlanta brought in a scholar that worked with young men dying of AIDS. His work spanned a decade from the 80-90s. He believed that lucid dreaming allows the body and higher self to communicate. What the group found when they workshopped the dreams was that the symbols and images that came to them represented parts of the body, aspects of relationships, or actions that if they altered or corrected would help them stay healthy. There was even an archetype (a recurrent symbol or motif) that represented the AIDS virus.
In other words, the body wanted to get better and fight for survival for as long as possible and it would communicate what changes it felt needed to be made through deep meditation and dreams.
An interesting side note was that the body knew when the fight was over. The researcher reported that the person’s archetype of AIDS would disappear. When that happened, he observed that in most cases it was less than 2 months before the person would die. There was nothing else the body could do to fight so the archetype disappeared. Before that though, the body shared what it needed to be in balance.
This got me thinking.
- I’m generally healthy, but what if I could bring myself further into balance and harmony using sound as a way to access the language of the body and higher self?
- How could I improve my health?
- What if I did this for an entire month to see if there were results?
- What if I opened it up to others as well? (Workshopping is extremely helpful to access the perspectives of others. They may perceive the symbols in different and wildly helpful ways.)
Thus, my study group was born. It’s in its infancy and we’re taking baby steps. If you join us, this is not the polished product but something experimental. Feedback is welcome.
The study group is live and we are starting Week 1 on Monday, October 28th (if you're just now seeing this starting on or before the 31st of October you would still receive full benefit.
You’ll have access to curated sound experiences (including gongs and bowls) each week. Some I will record for you, others I have sourced from sound practitioners that I know.
We’ll be workshopping Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays for 1 month.
The workshopping will include:
- An analysis: Bring your meditation and let’s look at it together! Not going to make Zoom? Send in your questions and I’ll answer them or workshop them with the group on Zoom. (Recordings will be available.)
- Q & A: Any study group related inquiries are welcome.
- Case studies: Explore and practice meditation analysis using case studies.
