Study Group Overview
In this study group, "The Language of the Mind-Body: Unlocking Clear Communication through Sound" we will delve into the fascinating world of how to use sound as a powerful tool for communication between the mind-body, higher Self, and intuition.
This image represents the concept of consciousness. It is somewhat measurable as a life energy that is around us. Rather than just being housed in the brain, it is housed in the entire body. This may be part of the reason we do not have direct communication with parts of our consciousness: The body speaks a different language than the mind.
The colors in this photo also remind me of what I often see when I receive a sound meditation. Each one has a potential meaning. It is these meanings that we workshop into a language and communication that we can understand in the study group.
I'm really excited to explore what you will observe in your sound meditations. Can't wait to meet you on Zoom! Tuesday 7-8:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time), Friday 10-11:30 am, and/or Sunday 3:30-5pm.
How does communicating with the mind and body work?
Sound keeps the mind busy, allowing for the subconscious and body to communicate. Their language is varied and may include: symbols, feelings, colors, movements, smell, sensations, metaphorical and allegorical images, etc.
These communications teach you where in the body, behaviors, relationships, or stories you are telling yourself there needs to be balance. As you develop your language, it will become easier to understand what steps you might take to bring yourself into balance. Although some information may be given that you cannot immediately understand or use, over time and with continue work, all content becomes clear.
This is why reflective journal prompts are provided for you to print out or work with digitally with every sound meditation lesson.
You may not realize that you have been consistently receiving a symbol or color until you review your previous writings.
Keeping track of your experiences allows you to identify what your body, subconscious mind and higher Self are asking you to explore.
Lesson Summary
In the study group "The Language of the Mind-Body: Unlocking Clear Communication through Sound," participants explore using sound for communication between the mind-body, higher self, and intuition. Here are the key points from the discussion:
- Consciousness is portrayed as a somewhat measurable life energy surrounding us, not confined just to the brain but present throughout the body.
- The body communicates in a different language than the mind, making direct communication with all parts of consciousness challenging.
- Colors in sound meditations represent potential meanings that are decoded into a comprehensible language during the workshop sessions.
- Communication between the mind and body is facilitated by sound, enabling the subconscious and body to convey messages using various forms like symbols, feelings, colors, movements, and more.
- Interpreting these communications helps identify areas in the body, behaviors, relationships, or narratives that require balance, guiding towards steps for achieving equilibrium.
- Although some information may initially seem unclear, continuous work and reflection gradually unveil its significance, underscoring the importance of journal prompts provided after each sound meditation lesson.
- Tracking experiences through reflective writing aids in recognizing recurring symbols or colors, assisting in understanding the messages from the body, subconscious mind, and higher self.
Join the study group sessions on Zoom held on Tuesday 7-8:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time), Friday 10-11:30 am, and Sunday 3:30-5 pm to delve deeper into the fascinating realm of mind-body communication through sound.
